Tabletop Dairy
A partnership group in the Casa Grande area is building a 1200-cow dairy approximately 3 miles from Withrow Dairy and we have leased this facility from them in order to expand our milking herd. We are currently milking approximately 1,100 head in this facility. The milk is picked up one time from this facility every day. The picture below is the front of the parlor building where the tanks and milking equipment are housed.
The dairy has double-17 DeLaval parlor equipment and should be a perfect facility for freshening 1200-head of springers. There are eight 150-cow pens along with a 3-pen hospital/maternity area. There is a 4-bay commodity barn as well as a manure separator and lagoon for waste management. The cows at Tabletop have cooling in their pens as well, however the cooling is a system by Advanced Dairy Systems and they utilize a fan and mister type system of cooling as shown below.
